[dropcap custom_class=”normal”]Gera and Sean got married on a sunny and warm day of the end of August 2014. It was surely one of the most fun and charming wedding I’ve planned in Rome over 2014 and I’m pleased to tell you about the full story here.[/dropcap]
Gera is a wonderful friendly Italo-English girl living in USA and her fiancé Sean is an handsome American firefighter.
They decided to tie the knot in Italy because of Gera’s Italian heritage and they came from all over the world with their 200 guests to celebrate!
A Catholic Wedding in Rome
Gera and her husband to be both got ready in a lovely hotel in the very centre of eternal city.
Once ready a Rolls Royce Mulliner was waiting for the bride to take her to church of SS. Apostoli in Piazza Venezia.
Gera wore a precious wedding gown with sparking corset and a wonderful soft tulle skirt and Sean wore a summer tuxedo with a white jacket and black bow tie.
I cannot forget about Gera’s bridal bouquet made with avalanche roses, small roses and romantic cymbidium.
Very romantic!
The church is a 6th-century Roman Catholic church and a minor basilica. The interior is a rare beauty. Church is made of three naves divided by columns with precious frescoes on the ceiling and golden details.
You cannot have a wedding in Rome without getting married in a church, don’t you?
The church was embellished with big white Florentine vases at the entrance and by the alter and with wonderful garlands on the alter too. All decorations where white made with big avalanches roses, smaller roses, lysianthus and dendrobium orchids.
After a moving and rich ceremony bride and groom took the chance to take some wonderful photos around the beauty of Rome, the eternal city…for an eternal love!
Gianluca and Mary Adovasio Photographers followed the event for them – a very special thanks for their great work!
A real Castle in the centre of Rome for an unforgettable reception
Gera and Sean reached their guests to a wonderful castle in the centre of Rome. It is just here where they planned their enchanting wedding reception.
Castle is located in a secular park embellished by natural fountains and caves with faun and nymphs statues.
It is surely one of the best wedding venue we can find in Rome.
Welcome aperitif was served in the Italian garden while a band was playing Italian traditional songs and some Italian and American standards.
The atmosphere was surely festive and joyful and Gera and Sean were absolutely beautiful in their wedding attire!
Dinner was served in the stunning Winter Garden of the castle.
Atmosphere was magic: there were candles everywhere including on the original well in the centre of the room.
And on the tables impressive crystal candelabras enriched with avalanche and dusty pink roses on their tops and on their bases. Smaller crystal candle holders and golden tea lights holder did the rest.
Once the dinner was over it was time for the traditional wedding cake.
A traditional Italian millefeulle with strawberries decorated with flowers. Delicious!
And now it is time to party.
Band played all night to made the evening special and unforgettable.
Everybody danced and had fun… all guests kept on saying that this was the best wedding they’ve ever been to!
It was a great event and Gera and Sean will always have a special place in my heart!
